It is a pleasure to introduce you to Killinghall Primary School. I hope that you find the information within our website both useful and interesting. We hope to provide for you, a valuable insight into the high quality education we deliver to our children. Our pupils are given opportunity and encouragement to enjoy school and be successful.

The learning galleries on the website demonstrate the importance we place upon stimulating experiences both inside and outside the classroom. We continue to develop strong partnerships between the pupils, staff, parents, governors and the local and wider community.

We have developed a strong culture based on team work which has created a school which goes that “extra mile” for its pupils.

An update about Bradford Moor Park and the Dogs

Having spoken to the Police I am reassured that they are taking our telephone calls and those of our neighbours seriously. They have received many calls about Bradford Moor Park and the dogs. The Police have now increased their presence in the area. I would advise you not to use the park until further notice and if you do see any dogs not to approach them. If you have any further concerns, please do not hesitate to let me know and contact the Police. Thank you Claire

Mental Health Week

February 2025 Dear Parents, It is Children's Mental Health week from Monday the 3rd to Sunday 9th of February. We will be joining schools, families and communities across the country taking part in this. This year's theme is ‘Know Yourself, Grow Yourself’ and is about getting children and adults to embrace self-awareness and explore what it means to them. This will help them grow and develop resilience to cope with what life throws at them. On Friday the 14th of February linked to our Feelings Friday and My Happy Mind sessions the children will be taking part in activities related to this theme. On the day children can come to school dressed in their favourite colour. There will be a suggested £1 donation to Place2Be who are the charity that provide mental health support for pupils, families and staff in the UK. Just a reminder that the My Happy Mind parents app is now live and you can access this here: https://myhappymind.org/parent-resources Thank you for your continued support.
