In year 2, the children worked in groups and discussed the importance of reusing everyday items. They then spoke about the sequence of planting bulbs. After this they planted bulbs by reusing materials such as old boots and shoes.

This half term year 2 have been practicing their gymnastic positions, individual, partner & group balances and discussing the importance of good posture.

As part of Year two's science topic 'Animals' we have hosted the Living Eggs' project in school. We have enjoyed watching the life cycle of the chicks as they have changed from embryo to hatchling and to some very mischievous chicks! Children have enjoyed learning about different life cycles alongside this and have enjoyed caring for the chicks, making sure they are fed, watered and cleaned out regularly.

We have been looking at how we could recycle more at school and have been writing persuasive letters to the governors, the site manager and the headteacher as part of the science topic on the environment.
