Time capsule for Bradford University's 50th anniversary
Killinghall Primary School was the only primary school invited by Bradford University to create an art piece for their time capsule, and join in the celebrations for 50 Years of Bradford University.
A group of Children’s University graduates took part in the Art project. They had only 3 weeks to create a piece of art to place in the time capsule. Children spent time after school to discuss, plan and create a piece.
Children and staff were then invited to City Hall to mark the celebration. At the event, children represented the school and shared their university experiences with key members from Bradford. All the children met and shook hands with the Lord Mayor and received certificates and badges. The children were a credit to the school and we received lots of complimentary comments about the students’ behaviour and how brightly they spoke with the guests. Well done to everyone, it is fantastic to see our pupils’ achievements recognised by both the Bradford University and the Lord Mayor!
